Full River Rescue; INC#0135; 01:39AM; 2274 N Duvall St; ; Elysian Valley; LAFD units located a 56M on an "island" in the LA River. The river, at this juncture, is a vertical channel with an approximate flow rate of 30mph at an approximate depth of 4 feet. The patient is confirmed to be static on a dry island out of the water. LAFD Air Operations completed a hoist operation successfully rescuing the stranded male and transported him to a local hospital for hypothermia symptoms. No injuries to LAFD personnel reported.
